What about Chinese hotel basic information?
All hotels we arranged for you in China are specialized in receiving foreigner clients. In big cities like Beijing and shanghai, the hotels at star levels are in same standard with that of international hotels, offering luggage transferring, money exchanging, laundry and food service in fluent English. Generally speaking, breakfast is self-help buffet and some Chinese snacks, whose charge has already included in hotel fees. If your time is so limited for breakfast, they will offer you doggy bags.
We will try our best to arrange you in characteristic hotels. For example, the hotel itself is a historic attraction with local architecture style: quadrangle hotel in Beijing and castle hotel along the Silk Road.
In Tibet and some small cities, the best hotel may be 3-star hotel without English service or western food. There is only necessary wash room and hot water. So please be kindly noted this when you choose to explore Tibet and Silk Road.
It is a habit and policy to save energy in China. The central air conditioner will be on only when the temperature is above 26C. Maybe you will feel a little bit hot. There is no such problem in hotels with independent air conditioners.
Beds are usually a little bit hard in China's hotels since the Chinese think it is good for health with hard bed.

Can you tell us something about Chinese guide service?
All guides received university education. There is Criterion of English Tour Guide Presentation Exam in China every year. All guides from China Travel Solution are strictly select from the exam winners. They work with guide license. Guides without license will be punished heavily.
All guides we offer to you are professional and considerate and work with licenses. There will be one guide accompany with you in a city trip from the airport or train station, while you will have a new guide in other city to pick you up. Your guide serves only for you or your group during the trip. Except the introduction work, the guide is also responsible for the arrangement job, including hotel confirmation, food confirmation and ticket booking and so on. If you have any special query such as vegetarian, or shopping, inform the guide. He or she will try best to adjust the schedule to satisfy you.

What kind of transportation service we will have?
Usually, we choose airplane as traffic tool across cities or soft-sleepers by trains when airlines are not available. If your tickets are booked by the local travel agencies, they will be sent to you before your departure.
There is tour bus or car service within a city. In China, all the driver and cars receiving tourists are strictly required. Drivers have to receive International Etiquette training and experienced in driving, while the cars should be registered with licenses. As one of the earliest founded and the biggest travel agencies in China, CTS has a consummate vehicle system to cover cars requirement in peak season.
Driver and guide will pick you up at the airport. There will be several drivers and cars serving you, yet the quality are the same. You will be informed if your traffic tool will be changed. If you want to go somewhere beyond the itinerary, please negotiate with your guide and the extra schedule will be surcharged.

What is Chinese food like?
Chinese food doesn't cost much. In big cities such as Beijing and Xi'an, there are both Chinese and western restaurants which offer delicious food with safety and English service guaranteed. It will be good idea going there to experience local cuisine culture. Therefore, generally speaking, we arrange lunch only except for characteristic dinner that can not be missed. No fixed dinner is listed in the tour schedule. Anyway, guides will give some suggestion and recommendation to satisfy your special request. And please be kindly noted that the price difference is surcharged. In other small cities, your lunch and dinner are arranged considering food safety.
Breakfast is included in your hotel service. Most of the Chinese hotels above 3-star supply you with Chinese & western buffet breakfast, while in some hotels in small city, only Chinese breakfast is available.

Are the facilities for disables consummate in China?
The facilities for disables vary from big city to small city. Usually in these big cities there are disable facilities in the hotel, toilet, and scenic place. We highly suggest you choosing a private tour with a private guide and driver taking care of you.

How can I make international call in China?
If you want to dial international, your guide will help you to buy an IP card, with which you can dial at much lower price. Of course you can dial from your hotel, but it's very expensive with extra service fee.

What hotel standard can I expect on a China tour?
The hotels for group tours are based on 4 star hotels. Most of the hotels are centrally located in the city or at the convenience place in the tourist area. Yet, in some small cities, the best hotels service may below 4-star. We will choose the top service in those places for you. 3-star to 5-tar hotels belong to international hotels and eligible to offer service to foreign guests. All our prices are quoted based on 4-star hotel. Yet, you are free to choose hotels according to your budget. If you would like to try some characteristic hotel or chain hotel such as youth hostel, we will also arrange for you. Please feel free to express your requirements on accommodation. Hotels can be changed for higher or lower budges. Hotels below 3-star do not have western breakfast or English service.

What about the Chinese tour Guides?

What if I get sick in China?
There are some hospitals serve foreigners with English speaking doctors and nurses in some big cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Xi'an. Ambulance service is available for everybody. Hotels usually have access to a doctor if you need one. There are also some clinics offering western qualified doctors, medicines and treatment, and doctors and nurses can speak English. These clinics are expensive, but they will accept payment by credit card.

Vegetarian food is very popular in China. Chinese people eat a lot of vegetables in daily meal. There are many choices for vegetarians in China. We also have many restaurants specially offering vegetarian food exclusively. Please let us know you are a vegetarian, they we can arrange you with vegetarian food for you including on the airplane.

What is D train?
The new faster trains, called "D Train" have been launched since April 18th , 2007. It is a new class of higher-speed trains, the Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) train sets. They can go up to 200km/h-----250km/h. and the seats on the train can turn around 180 degrees. And the seats size is bigger. There is a special waiting room for D train in railway station.

I don't know Chinese language. Does it make any barrier to my Chinese tour?
Do not worry about English service for the guide is available at anytime if you choose our service. 

Do I have to tip in China? How much to tip?
Tips are not required in China. We pay our guide and driver with reasonable service fee. If you would like to tip a guide and driver for outstanding service, of course, it will be appreciated. While in most of the tourists' hotel, you are expected to tip the bell boy who bring luggage to your room. Generally speaking, the tips are according to the luggage number, 1 or 2 dollars for 1 luggage.

What if I do not like the products and would like to explore something special?
