Taiyuan -Pingyao weekend private tour |

Day 01 (Friday) Beijing to Taiyuan to Pingyao
After a busy week, you will take the newly opened express train for 3 hours from Beijing West station to Taiyuan ( Train D2015, 16:26/19:30). Upon arrival, your local guide will meet you and take you on the transfer to Pingyao(1.5 hours) . Accommodation is at Pingyao Yide Hotel. (www.yide-hotel.com)
Day 02 (Saturday) Pingyao 
After breakfast, you will start your tour in the ancient city Pingyao with two thousand years’ history. The city is famous for its ancient city wall, Ming – Qing Street, Rishengchang Remittance Shop-the first bank of China, and China’s original government office, which is called Xianya in the old time. Your guide will take you to visit them one by one. After lunch, you will visit the Family Qiao’s Compound, an outstanding example of the private residence architecture of the wealthy Chinese merchants during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, which was featured in the award-winning movie “Red Lantern” by the famous Chinese director Zhang Yimou.
Day 03 (Sunday) Pingyao / Taiyuan / Beijing
After breakfast, you will leave the ancient city of Pingyao and visit Shuanglin Temple on the way to Taiyuan, another UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its more than 2000 colorful sculptures,which reflect the exquisite skills of the artisans of the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.Lunch will be arranged after your arrival in Taiyuan. In the Afternoon you will be led to Jinci Temple, the well-preserved national ancient park, before the transfer to the railway station. Train trip back to Beijing. (Train D2017,17:46/21:15)
