Day 1: Shanghai - Hangzhou Meal: L
Depart from hotel in Shanghai and drive to Hangzhou. You will visit the Lingyin Temple, a famous ancient Buddhist temple also known as Temple of the Soul’s Retreat in the afternoon, you will also visit to a tea plantation to sample some of the best green tea in China and to see the ancient process of refining tea. Check in at Best Western Hotel or similar.
Day 2: Hangzhou v Suzhou Meal: B/L
In the morning, you will take a leisurely cruise on the beautifully stunning West Lake before going to Flower Harbour (Huagang) Park to see the Red Carp. Afterwards drive to the small historical town of Wuzhen, an example of a typical water town, where you will board a cruise on its zigzag waterways. In late afternoon coach to Suzhou, referred to as the “Venice of the East” because it was built around a network of canals and bridges, which fan out from the Grand Canal. Suzhou is also famous for its charming gardens and canals. You will stay two nights at Suzhou Glamour Hotel or similar.
Day 3: Suzhou Meal: B/L
Begin the day with a visit to Tiger Hill and the remarkable leaning Cloud Rock Pagoda built from A.D. 961 and still leaning. Next a visit to the picturesque Humble Administrator’s Garden, the most famous garden in Suzhou. After lunch, a stop at the Panman Water Gate, an old water gate built 2500 years ago. Next you will visit Number One Silk Factory to witness the production of the finest silk in China.
Day 4: Suzhou v Shanghai Meal: B
Drive back to Shanghai (your hotel or airport). Tour ends.
