Banpo Site
Banpo SiteBanpo Site is a protolithic village which was found during the construction of a power plant in 1953.The Matriarchal Society village site is a comparably intact settlement site along Yellow River, composed by 3 parts: residence area, pottery area and tomb area. There are 46 remained houses, more than 200 cellars, 174 adults’ tombs and 73 children’s, 6 pottery kiln sites and large amount tools and life articles. A busy life from 6000 years ago is show to the world through this settlement site.

The Great Mosque and the Muslim QuarterThe Great Mosque and the Muslim Quarter is located in the Hua Jue Lane to the northwest of the Drum Tower in Xi’an. Together with the other Mosque in the Da Xue Xi Lane, they are two oldest Great Mosques in Xi’an. Due to its locations east to the Mosque in the Da Xue Xi Lane, it is also called the Great Eastern Mosque. The Great Mosque is a Chinese traditional Alhambresque architecture with a long history and grant scale, which is the great combination of Islamic and Chinese culture. It was recorded that it was established in the first year of the Tian Bao reign by Li Lung Ji, after renovations and expansions on several occasions in the Song, Yuan and especially the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it gradually takes on the current performance. The Great Mosque and the Muslim Quarter now is the important relic preservation of Shanxi Province and the national important relic preservation of third period.
Famen Temple
Famen TempleFamen Temple is another Must-see attraction besides Terra Cotta Warriors in Xi’an. First built in the Eastern Han dynasty (67AD), the temple was named as “Cheng Shi Dao Chang”. Then the first Emperor in Tang dynasty changed its name into Famen Temple. As the most important sacred Buddhist sanctuary in that period, royal government enlarged it for several times, as a result of which there were 24 yards and it turned to be the largest, most authoritative royal temple with the most monasteries.
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda
The Big Wild Goose PagodaThe Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a seven-storey building, which was built in 652 AD by hierarch Xuanzang to store Buddhist materials that were taken from India. First built to a height of 60 meters (197 feet) with five stories, it is now 64.5 meters (211.6 feet) high with an additional two stories. The pagoda Externally looks like a square cone, simple but grand, and it is a masterpiece of Buddhist construction.
Huaqingchi Spa
Huaqingchi SpaHuaqingchi is a hot spring pool site near the Li Mount in east of Xian. According to the history record, the spring here was found 3000 years ago. In Han dynasty (BC202---AD220), villas were built here for emperors and noblemen to entertain and in Tang dynasty (618---907), a luxurious palace named Huangqing Palace was built and the spring here then got a name Huangqing spring.
