Just as different people have different faces, different cities have their own distinctive images. Talking of Beijing, what easily comes to mind is Tiananmen Square, while thinking of Shanghai, the first image is the Bund. Bund is the English parallelism to its Chinese name “Wai Tan’, which is the symbol of the east metropolis. Bund refers to the waterfront located along the west shore of Huangpu River, the main river through Shanghai. Originally it was no more than an area of undeveloped muddy land. Then it was lent to Brian as concession after the Opium War in 1840.

| Hanshan Temple |
Hanshan temple was used to called Fengqiao Temple and later was renamed as Hanshan Temple since the famous monks Han Shan and Shi De took as the temple host in Tang Dynasty. It was founded about 1400 years ago, then it was rebuilt in Nan song Dynasty (1134). Hanshan Temple was destroyed many times because of the wars. Most of the current palaces were rebuilt in Qing dynasty. Han Shan temple was also well-known by Japanese.

Located in the northern Shanghai, Yuyuan Garden is the only well-protected Ming dynasty garden in the old part of city. To its opposite, there is the ancient shopping street, like Da-zha-lan in Beijing, this street is the Shanghai’s old business street, Cheng-huang-miao.

The grant canal and the great wall are the two miracles created by Chinese ancient people. The great canal is the earliest and longest man-made rivers in the world with a history of 2400 years and a length of 1,700 kilometers. It played a great role in the long Chinese historical and cultural communication. The great canal in Suzhou has a length of 82.35 kilometers, which is about 39 percent of its whole length in Jiangsu province.

Garden of master of nets is one of the four famous gardens in Suzhou, which is also won the title of the world culture heritage list, the national 4A level scenic spots, historical and cultural relics under state preservation. It is located in the southern area of Suzhou city, and about 120 kilometers from Shanghai Hongqiao airport. Garden of master of nets is the classical mansion garden in Su zhou, and the magnum opus of Chinese middle and small-sized classical gardens in of River South of China.

| Jade Buddha Temple |
Between the swathes of concrete and glass in Shanghai, you'll find a lush temple, peaceful and sacred. This is Jade Buddha Temple, which is a holy land among the busy metropolitan.
Seeing from the temple name, you will get the information that there is oblate jade Buddha statue. The first master brought 5 jade Buddha statues from Burma in 1882, leaving 2 of them in shanghai for worship. A temple was built to worship the two jade Buddha statues and 10 years later, new temple was completed in 1928, which became today’s southern yard of the Jade Buddha Temple.
