The underground city is actually a civil air defense work built from 1969 till 1979. It is said that this completed underground network is 30 kilometers’ long and 8 meters’ deep beneath the earth, yet there are only 1 km open to the public now. Water supply and airway are well designed. There are also cinema and hairdressing shops. This man made tunnel is called “underground Great Wall” in Beijing. You can enter and visit the “meeting hall”,” hospital” “cinema ” “bullet magazine” and etc.
